Health conditions associated with fibromyalgia are too numerous to name in their entirety. Conditions most commonly linked to the presence of fibromyalgia include: irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), irritable bladder, and depression, chest pain, myofascial pain syndrome (MPS), Raynaud’s syndrome, neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), headaches and migraines, restless legs syndrome (RLS), cognitive difficulties (e.g., memory loss and fibrofog), hypoglycemia, skin disorders, depression, dry eyes and mouth, anxiety, depression, ringing in the ears, dizziness, blurred vision or trouble focusing, Raynaud's Syndrome, impaired coordination, TMJ (jaw or joint dysfunction), HIV, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), Lyme disease, chronic back pain, and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
In addition, many fibromyalgia patients experience severe insomnia as a result of an associated sleep disorder that prevents them from spending adequate amounts of time in deep (stage 4) sleep.
